Mumbai: The nude scene of actress Amala Paul from 'Aadai' has sent waves across the filmdom. The film's teaser which released last month saw the actress doing something which other mainstream heroines dare to do. In the film, the actor has attempted to project the plight of a rape victim.
Before 'Aadai' happened, the actress considered quitting the world of cinema. In a sudden twist of events, the actress landed on doing the film. She revealed: "I was telling my manager that I wanted to quit the industry because the synopsis I was receiving from filmmakers all felt like a lie. Yes, they were heroine-centric... but the concepts were simple. Like a rape victim, her struggling against the odds and gaining revenge, or a wife who supports her husband endlessly, or a sacrificial mother. I had no interest to be a part of these lies.”
Revealing more about the controversial and gritty scene, the 27-year-old actress said that the director Rathna Kumar had earlier discussed with her about wearing a special costume for the nude scene but the actress has turned down the idea.
In a recent interview, the actress has revealed that she was extremely tensed on the day of the shoot. Amala further told: "It is only when I reached that point, I was feeling stressed. I was anxious to know about what is happening on the sets, who were all going to be there, and if there was security."
She also said while shooting that there were only 15 people on the sets whom she trusted. It would have been otherwise if she didn't have trust in them.
The trailer and the teaser of the film have grabbed over millions of eyeballs on the internet. Both the film's teaser and trailer have received over 175k likes in total on the video.
