Hyderabad: Shikha Sharma, who featured in Shah Rukh Khan's 2016 release Fan suffered a paralysis stroke earlier this month. The actor has opened up about her recovery and said that though she is responding to treatment, the thought of leading a normal life is still a blur.
Shikha, an actor and a degree holder in nursing, was serving at Mumbai's Balasaheb Thackeray COVID Hospital as a nurse. She suffered a sudden paralysis stroke on December 10, following which she was immediately admitted to Kokilaben Hospital where she was later referred to Cooper hospital in Mumbai.

Talking about her health condition, Shikha told a leading daily, "My health is improving but the process is slow. I’m not sure when I will be able to walk again."

The actor also said that she is helpless with her body but her heart gets elated when she thinks of Kaanchli, her debut film as a lead actor. The actor said she needs the support of her audience to sail through the tough time. Shikha had earlier revealed that she was paralysed at the age of 12 too.

Besides Fan, Shikha was last featured in Sanjay Mishra directed Kaanchli Life in a Slough and Running Shaadi with Taapsee Pannu in lead.
