Abhishek Bachchan roots for Rahman, U2 home concert

As Chris Martin from Coldplay crooned some of his songs in order to reduce the growing coronavirus panic, Abhishek Bachchan also urged that AR Rahman and U2 band should do the same.

Mumbai: With the world gripped in panic amid coronavirus outbreak, a handful of celebrities from across the globe is putting their effort to curb the panic related to the pandemic coronavirus.

While some put out videos with positive messages, others took up several creative outlets to help heal the world.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan also took to social media and urged netizens to reach out to music maestro AR Rahman and the Irish rock band U2 to create mini compositions that could help others deal with difficult times.

On Tuesday night, Chris Martin from the popular band Coldplay hopped on to Instagram and performed songs that he has composed in his whole music career.

Sharing the same, Vikram Chanda tweeted: "Here is a lesson on how to use social media to reduce the pain of social distancing. A live, free, mini-concert by Chris Martin of @coldplay! Perhaps others can follow suit?"

He further added: "John Legend is up next... we need an Indian version too. #TogetherAtHome"

The Bol Bachchan actor on Wednesday retweeted, "Somebody please reach out to A R Rahman and U2!," in response to the said tweet.

On the work front, the 44-year-old actor is currently busy filming Bob Biswas. The film is directed by Dia Annapurna Ghosh and is penned by Sujoy Ghosh.

Parts of the movie have been shot in Kolkata.

The actor also has Kookie Gulati's The Big Bull in the pipeline.
