Awwdorable! Aamir celebrates Janamashtmi with son Azad

Aamir Khan celebrated Janamashtmi with his son at his residence. Mr Perfectionist gave a glimpse of his celebration on Instagram.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan might be late in wishing Janamashtmi, but it is no less than a treat for all his fans.

Taking to his Instagram on Saturday, Aamir shared a picture of himself along with son Azad climbing on his back, aiming to break the Dahi Handi.

The adorable picture features the father-son sharing joyful moments at the auspicious occasion of Janamashtmi.

"Wishing everyone a very happy Janmashtami!", read the caption.

Aamir who shares a close bond with his seven-year-old son often keeps fans updated with pictures of himself with his little one.

Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan was seen breaking a Dahi Handi as a part of Janamashtmi ritual, a video of which is going viral on social media.

In the video, SRK is seen breaking Dahi Handi with a coconut while sitting on the shoulder of his bodyguard. Meanwhile, his fans cheered loudly for the superstar as he completes the ceremony.

Ayushmann Khurrana posted a picture of himself dressed as Lord Krishna on Instagram wishing fans a very happy Janamashtmi.

Janamashtmi is celebrated with immense joy in Bollywood. Many celebrities celebrate the auspicious festival breaking Dahi Handis.

Janmashtami is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. As per the Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born on the eighth day of the month of Bhadra. The day mostly falls in August or September as per the Western calendar.

The festival is celebrated by offering prayers to Lord Krishna with beautifully decorated swings, dance and music performances and Dahi Handi competition.
