An eight-foot-long rock python was rescued from a banana orchard at Jangamreddypalli village in Narpala Mandal of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. The python was later released into the nearby reserved forest on the same day afternoon after a medical examination. Forest officials said some locals who were working on the ground spotted the reptile and immediately called up district forest officials. Soon after, forest officials reached the spot, caught the python and released it to the nearby forest.
