WATCH: Locals help rescue beached humpback whale calf in Brazil

Volunteers and emergency services came to the rescue of a baby humpback whale stranded on a well-known tourist beach in Rio de Janeiro state on Monday. Footage from the coastal resort of Arraial do Cabo showed efforts to save the disorientated whale lying on its side. After it was coaxed back into deeper water, local firefighters on boats were able to guide the calf further out into the South Atlantic Ocean, Brazilian media reported.
