WATCH: UP farmer stages protest by uprooting ready-to-harvest crop

Amid the ongoing farmers' protests against recently enacted farm laws, a farmer in Kulchan village of Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district destroyed his wheat crop in a show of protest against the central government's stand on the matter. In a video that went viral, farmer Sohit Ahlawat was seen ploughing the field with a tractor, destroying his ready-to-harvest crop. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait, who attended two Kisan maha panchayat in Haryana's Hisar district said farmers would destroy standing crops as the part of continuing protests.
