US-based NRI Dr Promita Roy Choudhury dwells on Capitol siege

US-based NRI doctor and a specialist in family medicine, Dr Promita Roy Choudhury was shocked when for the first time she heard about the Capitol violence in the USA. "My first reaction was that of disbelief," Dr Roychoudhury told ETV Bharat from the USA. "But as the news and visuals started coming in where Republican supporters and the followers of outgoing US president, Donald Trump were seen attacking the Capitol, I felt sick," Dr Roychoudhury said. She had been practising in the USA for the last 25 years. "I wish Donald Trump and his followers who resorted to such vandalism are punished. I also hope heads of states in other countries do not follow the footsteps of Trump," she added.
