Uttarakhand glacier burst: Survivors recount their harrowing tales

ETV Bharat spoke exclusively with a few survivors of Joshimath who were rescued by the ITBP personnel from the Tapovan tunnel near Chamoli amid the Uttarakhand glacier burst. The survivors thanked their stars while sharing their harrowing tales. The ITBP teams, armed with ropes, pulleys and carabiners, rappelled down a steep slope and brought out these men from the narrow snout of the tunnel.
