Remdesivir only for critically ill COVID patients, says Chandigarh PGI Dean

Amid black marketing of antiviral COVID drug Remdesivir, Dean of Chandigarh PGI Dr. G.D. Puri told ETV Bharat said that it should be given to critically ill COVID patients and those suffering from co-morbidities. He said that it's not a life-saving drug and advised that people who test positive for COVID must not take Remdesivir injections without consulting a doctor. Puri said that belief of the people that the anti-viral drug expedites the recovery of COVID-19 patients has led to its scale large hoarding.
