NEP 2020: Comprehensive framework will boost education in country, says expert

On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet cleared a new National Education Policy (NEP) proposing sweeping changes in school and higher education. In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat's Deputy News Editor, Krishnanand Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University Dr Faizan Mustafa talked about the key takeaways of the new education policy. In this regard, Dr Mustafa said," There is much to welcome in what we have seen of the New Education Policy 2020 announced by PM Narendra Modi. A number of suggestions made by some of us seem to have been taken into account and the NEP 2020 aims at making “India a global knowledge superpower”. Multidisciplinary education is the comprehensive framework to guide development of education in the country. It is a reflection of the American education system and such an initiative of multidisciplinary education directly indicates the integration of knowledge. The comprehensive study will boost all round development of students."
