Moh Juj: The traditional buffalo fight in Assam

Traditional buffalo fight called Moh Juj was organised on the occasion of Bhogali Bihu or Magh Bihu in different parts of Assam. A large number of people thronged Ahatguri in Morigaon district to witness the traditional fight where a pair of buffalos lock their horns. This year on Bhogali Bihu, around 15 buffalos are expected to take part in the event. Besides, Moh Juj is being held despite the Supreme Court (SC) ban. The tournaments have been around since 1972!
