After frequent leopard spotting, panic grips UP's Amariya

In a viral video, a full-grown leopard can be seen wandering in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district which has triggered panic among the locals. The big cat has made graveyard its house in the village and its frequent visits have prompted villagers to request the forest department officials to take action. Divisional forest officer (DFO) Sanjeev Kumar said that the feline has been spotted near Amariya district and efforts are underway to trap it. The leopard has made its territory nearly 18 kilometres away from Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.
