Kambala runner Gowda fails to hit finish line

Mijaru Srinivasa Gowda, who created a record by running 100mts in 9.55 seconds last year has failed to complete the race with his buffalo in this season's Veera Vikrama Kambala held at Hokkadigoli of Mangalore. Dubbed as Kambala's Usain Bolt, Gowda fell off during the race and suffered minor injuries. District Kambala Committee, comprising Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Kasaragod (Kerala) districts, conducted this season’s Kambala race on January 30 and 31st.
