Indian-origin doctor receives recognition as 'unsung hero' in the US

An Indian doctor received a 'drive of honour' for fighting against the coronavirus pandemic in the US. Dr Preeti Subramani is native of Kodagu district in Karnataka and works at the South Windsor Hospital in the US. She has been taking care of COVID-19 patients since the outbreak of the disease. In recognition of her hard work and bravery, locals honoured her as an 'unsung hero' in front of her house. She also received saluted from many passersby in a parade that was organised to honour corona warriors for their work.
