Fire breaks out at under-construction metro station in Mumbai

A major fire broke out at an under-construction station of the Mumbai Metro Rail near 3rd tunnel of Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) project on Thursday. No casualties were reported. The blaze erupted this afternoon while the construction work was being done. Purported footage of the flames at the station went viral on social media. The fire was immediately controlled and extinguished as fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately.
