'Country should be prepared to tackle COVID's third, fourth wave too'

In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Dr Sudeep Singh, Director of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that the country must be prepared to tackle the third or even fourth wave of the Coronavirus too. He said that people need to follow the COVID guidelines strictly and if they fail to do so the country will again have a large number of positive cases. He further said India has at least 80 per cent of the population which has not been infected yet, so in such a situation, if people take it casually then there will be a risk of increasing the infection.
