Bird counting starts in Odisha's Mayurbhanj

Baripada (Odisha): The annual bird count began across the district on Sunday. Three units of Forest officials from Mayurbhanj carried out the census by using binoculars at around 100 places in the district. The forest officials conducted the survey at several water bodies in Simlipal, Baripada, Rairangpur, Karanjia and Balasore forest divisions of Mayurbhanj district to assess the exact number of migratory birds arrived in the region during their annual sojourn in winter season.
