Bengal unemployed migrant workers left in the lurch

As unemployment has hit the migrant workers in West Bengal's Krishnagar district over the past few months, labourers are left in the lurch. With no jobs looming over their heads, migrant workers want to go back to other states in search of employment. Despite the Mamata Banerjee govt promising them with the job, none of them has acquired any source of livelihood. What is even more appalling is that they don't have sufficient funds to move to other place prompting them to appeal to govt for help. Tapati Basak, Nadia Panchayat head, said, "Giving the job to so many people is not easy. We have not received any complaints yet but if we get so, we will look into the matter."
