Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat made the official announcement to include the Women Commando Squad in the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) wing. A group of 22 policewomen from Uttarakhand are undergoing training to be part of the ATS. ATS is an elite anti-terror unit of state police and the commandos are being specially trained for counter-insurgency operations, counter-terrorist operations and urban warfare.
