Politicians launch personal attacks amid elections

As West Bengal is set to vote in the second phase of the election, politicians appear to have become personal in their attacks on rivals. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra slammed Union Minister Giriraj Singh for raking up the issue of "Rohingyas' Gotra" after a comment by party leader Mamata Banerjee. On Twitter, she wrote, "Union Minister Giriraj says Mamata's from 'Rohingya Clan' .. proud of it. Far better than being from the Chotiwala Rakshasa Clan."
