Man posing as customer flees with gold ornaments, caught

Mangaluru: An incident took place in Mangalore in which a thief came to the jewellery shop posing as a customer and tried to run away with valuables. The incident happened in the Arun G. Shet owned Arun G Shet Jewellery and Diamond Works Shop. The thief came to the jewellery shop posing a customer at around 2 pm on Friday. He behaved as if he was going to buy jewellery so the shop staff was showing him jewellery when he suddenly took off with the valuables. The shop owner chased him down and trapped him. A CCTV camera caught the action unfolding. Police have arrested the thief and have registered a case at the Bandar Police station.
