Human-elephant conflict: Locals attack herd of wild elephants

Golaghat: A herd of wild elephants which intruded in human habitat searching for food was attacked by people in Nambor in Golaghat district of Assam. The miscreants threw spears and other lethal weapons with fire on the elephants. Locals said that one of the elephants in the herd was injured. Human-elephant conflicts are common in the area.
