'Don't use cough syrup in COVID-19'

As testing and treatment of coronavirus has become challenging due to sudden surge in cases, people are now taking medicines without consulting doctors. However, Dr Rakesh Gupta, a member of the Chhattisgarh Medical Council suggested the covid patients not to take any medicines without going through the proper channel. He warned that taking cough syrups without consulting a doctor can lead to an abrupt increase in virus count in the body.
