Arunachal vows to become highest Kiwi producer by 2023

Dibang valley: Known as the land of rising Sun, Arunachal Pradesh has vowed to become the highest producer of Kiwi fruit in the country. The farmers in Arunachal Pradesh have taken up Kiwi farming to a large extent and places like Dibang Valley in the hill state has recorded higher productivity recently. The Arunachal Pradesh government had already taken steps to set up a Kiwi fruit research centre at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district. The state government has also been encouraging the farmers organically farm Kiwis which will boost the marketability of the fruit.
