Public Review: Climax saving grace for Arjun Kapoor's Panipat

Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known for helming period dramas have extracted best performance possible from the cast of his latest release Panipat, felt the audience. While many opined that film's lead Arjun Kapoor could have done better, few even advised not to compare Kapoor's performance to that of Hrithik Roshan in Jodhaa Akbar or Ranveer Singh from Bajirao Mastani to enjoy the film. Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon managed to garner little applause from the cinegoers. What saves the film from falling flat is it's canvas and the execution of climax. Gowariker's direction is begin praised for presenting the history with efficiency. The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat, which was fought between the Marathas and Afghan invader Ahmed Shah Abdali in 1761.
