Roorkee: 120-year-old woman Maryam exercises her franchise

Roorkee: Voting for 70 seats in the Uttarakhand Assembly elections is underway. There is a lot of enthusiasm among all to vote. A large number of people have gathered in the polling booths since morning. From the youth to the elderly, there is a huge enthusiasm about exercising their franchise including a 120-year-old woman. Maryam, a 120-year-old resident of Rampur village in Roorkee, also participated and voted. However, the elderly woman Maryam is unable to walk and because of this, her grandson had to carry her to the polling booth. The old lady says that she wants a candidate who will help in the development. Inflation and unemployment have increased in the country for the last several years. They want such a government in the state which can curb unemployment and inflation.
