Dozens arrested in anti-govt protests in Moscow

Dozens of demonstrators were detained in Moscow on Wednesday evening at a rally against recent constitutional changes that would allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to remain in power until 2036. Hundreds of people attended the rally, which was called to collect signatures in protest at the changes. Russia held elections on July 1 that saw nearly 79% of voters approve of the new measures. Many opposition leaders, however, had called for their supporters to boycott the vote to protest what they said was its illegitimacy.
