Powerful earthquake hits central Philippines

A powerful earthquake struck a central Philippine region on Tuesday, trapping a family in a collapsed house, damaging other houses and a seaport, and prompting people to dash outdoors for safety. Fallen bricks, cracks in roads, and other scattered damage was apparent in a coastal town near the epicentre, but there were no reports yet of serious injuries.
