Dozens of bodies cremated in parking lot as crematoriums run out of space

Gurugram (Haryana): As crematoriums in Gurugram, Haryana have run out of space due to the surging death toll, several bodies were cremated in the parking area. Distressing visuals of dozens of bodies being cremated in the car parking lot at a crematorium in the city shows the reality of crematoriums being swamped with Covid afflicted bodies. Employees working in the crematorium say that there has been a rise in the number of deaths following a surge in the coronavirus cases, and as there is no place left, cremations are being held in the car parking area outside the crematorium. A similar situation was witnessed in many places in Gurugram, with ambulances seen queued up at the cremation ground even late at night. According to sources, a total of 52 bodies were cremated, while according to government data, 11 patients have died from Coronavirus in Gurugram on Sunday.
