World's largest oil refinery heavy reactor arriving at Vizag

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh): As part of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Vishakha Refinery Modernisation Project, the world's largest petroleum reactor is ready to arrive soon at Vishakapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. The reactor is 71.5 meters long, 12.2 meters wide and 7.74 meters high and weighs up to 2200 tons. It will be moved from the jetty from the shipyard on the coast to the project via Scindia Square, IOC Terminal Road. It uses a huge trawler with 32 axles. Each axle has three tracks, while each track has 24 wheels at a rate of 8 wheels in two pairs. Arrangements have been made to move a total of 768 wheels on a single trawler.
