Meet Seema Rao India's 1st and only woman commando trainer

Hyderabad: In a society where patriarchy seeps deep it is difficult for women to break stereotypes and make a mark for themselves. On the occasion of International Women's Day, ETV Bharat caught up with Dr. Seema Rao, who broke the glass ceiling over two decades ago and became India's first and only woman commando trainer. She has specialised in closed quarter battle (CBQ) and has trained over 20,000 soldiers from Indian Armed Forces, police and paramilitary. Describing her career as something that "just happened", Rao said, "we have only one life and we must make the best of it to achieve what we want to".
