ICG airlifts South Korean in medical emergency from oil tanker off Goa coast

Indian Coast Guard on Sunday airlifted a South Korean national from an oil tanker off the Goa coast. Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre received a distress message from MT Elim about a medical emergency aboard after one of the crew members fell ill. With the help of a Chetak helicopter, the crew member was airlifted and was rushed to a hospital in Goa. The South Korean flagged oil tanker was sailing from Kandla port in Gujarat.
