Difficult times for the Congress!

With the Congress party facing desertions by several of its party members, the grand-old party stares at an existential crisis. The recent example is the crisis that unfolded in Karnataka which finally ended with Yeddiyurappa-led Bharatiya Janta Party staking claim to form a government in the fiercely-fought southern state. It all happened because 14 Congress MLAs deserted the party, therefore destabilising the Congress-JD (S) alliance government. Similar scenes are playing out across the country. Will the Congress be able to keep its flock together? Will it be able to revive itself anytime soon?
