E sanjeevani Telemedicine Service Records 1 million Teleconsultation

As people are scared to physically visit doctors, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Ministry of Health came up with E Sanjeevani consultation. E Sanjeevani is a platform-independent, browser-based application facilitating both doctor-to-doctor and patient-to-doctor teleconsultation.

The E-Sanjeevani initiative of the Ministry of Health is offering two types of services in 28 states and union territories. E-Sanjeevani AB-HWC enables doctor-to-doctor consultation used in about 6 thousand health and health centres.

This is proof that the craze of digital services has increased among the people. Since the beginning of Corona's havoc, many efforts were made at the state level regarding health facilities. Since then this sequence has continued. With the increase in health services, special efforts were started for people to get maximum facilities at home. As a result, more than 1 million people in the country are availing the facility of tele-consultations daily through E-Sanjeevani. .Most of the states of the country have come to consult doctors through E Sanjeevani of Health Department during the Corona period.

Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are on top in availing E-Sanjeevani services. In Tamil Nadu, 3 lakh 19 thousand 507 people have been consulted since the inception of E Sanjeevani service till December 16, while 2 lakh 80 thousand 552. In Uttar Pradesh, 4 thousand 184 beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh through E Sanjeevani OPD on December 16 Has been consulted.

40 Specialist Doctors Are Available

E Sanjeevani service is available daily from 9 am to 5 pm (except Sunday). General and specialist physicians can be consulted in this. More than 500 MBBS and 40 specialist doctors are available to serve in Uttar Pradesh under E Sanjeevani OPD.

To take advantage of the consultancy service, you can download the e-Sanjeevani application in your smartphone. Those who do not have smartphones can seek medical advice through the Community Health Officer available at their nearest functional health and wellness centre.

Number of People Took Service

According to the information received by the government, the number of beneficiaries in the state-wise e Sanjeevani OPD is as follows. The top 10 districts of UP where people took advantage of this service are Meerut (22,655), Rae Bareli (21,357), Jalaun (21,083), Siddharthnagar (16,878), Bahraich (13,951), Prayagraj (13,186), Faizabad (11,057), Bulandshahar (10,724), Gorakhpur (8,575), Hardoi (8,074).
