Soothe With Toothpaste
Paste and not the gel, commonly found in every household, contains peppermint or menthol, which help soothe the skin and relieve itching. Dab a little toothpaste over the bite and leave it. It will also reduce the bump on the skin.

Baking Soda
Not just for baking cakes, baking soda is also a useful home remedy for treating several skin problems. Due to its alkaline nature, it balances the pH of the skin and relieves itching. Simply mix it with a little water to form a paste and apply on the bite for around 10 minutes and then wash it off. Stop using if any skin irritation occurs.

Other Precautions:

  • Ensure proper sanitization and get rid of stagnant water
  • Use a mosquito net
  • Consider using mosquito repellents
  • Wash the area with soap and water
  • Wear long-sleeved clothes and full pants when going out

However, many mosquito-borne diseases also spread during this time like dengue, malaria, chikungunya, etc. which must be taken care of. Consult a doctor in case you notice any symptoms of these diseases and get yourself treated immediately as the symptoms may worsen if delayed.
