Bhatpara: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker has died following a alleged bomb attack in West Bengal's Bhatpara. Allegations have been levelled against Trinamool Congress (TMC). The deceased BJP worker has been identified as Jayprakash Yadav, 32-year-old.

According to BJP MP Arjun Singh, who visited the site with security personnel, goons of TMC threw a grenade today afternoon. He added that party worker Jayprakash Yadav succumbed to injuries on the spot. He further said that the condition of West Bengal is such that not a single person can survive the 'lawlessness'.

West Bengal is witnessing a spike in BJP workers' killings ever since the ruling party secured an overwhelming majority in the recently concluded assembly elections.

Several BJP workers have been killed and houses of party workers have been burned and looted allegedly by TMC sponsored goons. The central government has also dispatched a Home Ministry team to take stock of the situation in West Bengal.
