Kolkata: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Monday lodged an FIR against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for leaking external information against BJP leaders before the assembly election.
Ghosh has mentioned four points in the FIR copy he accused Banerjee of various issues in the state.
"Banerjee has leaked external information against BJP leaders before the election. This has started linguistic animosity across the country and by doing so, she has violated the constitution of India. Besides, as a result of the Chief Minister's persuasive "external" statement, millions of Bengalees are spending their days in discomfort. If any untoward incident occurs due to this, she will have to take responsibility," the FIR read.
"Mamata Banerjee has made provocative statements against the central forces deployed by the Election Commission while campaigning for the elections. As a result, her party workers and supporters are trying to attack the central force, jawans. The Chief Minister is responsible for such incidents," the FIR further read.
"After the election results, looting, violence, and robbery have started across the state and following this, an atmosphere of terror has been created. By attacking BJP workers, many TMC leaders have created violence in the state. Many people who supported BJP during the elections are now homeless because of them and for this, CM Banerjee is responsible," Ghosh said in the FIR copy.
