Siliguri: Members of the transgender community protested in West Bengal's Siliguri by taking out a candle march in Siliguri on Tuesday. They demanded justice for a transgender named Varsha who was allegedly murdered here on Saturday.
The rally commenced from the Regulated Market and culminated at the Pradhan Nagar Police Station where the members of the society handed over a memorandum to the inspector-in-charge of the station.
According to sources, Varsha's naked body was recovered from the Regulated Market of Siliguri. The police are still investigating the matter.
