TMC leader joins BJP, says only PM Modi can save country

More than 300 members from the Trinamool Congress have formally joined the BJP at its national headquarters in New Delhi. TMC leader Nisith Pramanik too, in the presence of BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, made the shift along with other party cadres.

New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Nisith Pramanik joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Thursday in presence of party'sNational General Secretary, Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Slamming the West Bengal government for neglecting youth and farmers, he said that the country can only be protected by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Youths are not having jobs. In North Bengal there are many tea gardens still labours are dying due to lack of food. West Bengal government is not doing anything," he said.

Addressing the media on the occasion, Vijayvargiya said, "Entire West Bengal is accepting the leadership of PM Modi. There is a wave of BJP in entire West Bengal. In every district, people want to join BJP."

"People are scared of violence by TMC. We have a firm belief that once the Election code of conduct is released, people will join BJP in large number," he said.
