Kolkata: Another young life was lost on Sunday due to lack of adequate security and irresponsible behaviour of the swimming pool club authorities.

Mohammad Shahbaz (17), who went there for training, drowned at the College Square swimming pool on Sunday morning.

Sources said he might have drowned after 6.30 am. Kolkata Police's disaster management team found the body after a massive search from 9 am.

Many serious questions were posed, post the rescue related to the absence of the trainer. Police are investigating the matter.

Intro:কলকাতা, 4 অগাস্ট: ফের সাঁতার শিখতে গিয়ে মৃত্যুর ঘটনা। আজ সকালে কলেজ স্কোয়ারের সুইমিং পুলে ঘটেছে ঘটনা। মৃত্যু হয়েছে 17 বছরের এক কিশোরের। পুলিশ এবং ডিজাস্টার ম্যানেজমেন্ট গ্রুপ দীর্ঘক্ষণ তল্লাশি চালানোর পর কিছুক্ষণ আগেই উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে তার দেহ। দেহটি মেডিকেল কলেজ এবং হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য।Body:পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে খবর, আজ সকালে কলেজ স্কোয়্যারে সাঁতার শিখতে নামে বছর সতেরোর মহম্মদ শাহবাজ। বাড়ি ডাঃ সুধীর বোস লেন এলাকায়। সুইমিং পুলে ডাইভ মারার পরেই তলিয়ে যায় সে। ঘটনা সকাল সাড়ে ছটা নাগাদ ঘটে। তৎক্ষণাৎ কেউ হেল্প লাইন নম্বর 100 তে ফোন করে। দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে আসে আমাহার্ট স্ট্রিট থানার পুলিশ। চেষ্টা চলে উদ্ধারের। কিছুক্ষণ পরে আসে ডিজাস্টার ম্যানেজমেন্ট গ্রুপ। শুরু হয় সুইমিং পুলের জলে চিরুনি তল্লাশি। দীর্ঘ তল্লাশির পর কিছুক্ষণ আগেই উদ্ধার করা হয় তার দেহ। ৮ জন ডুবুরি নামানো হয় এই কাজে। ডুবুরিরা জানিয়েছেন, পুলের জলের নীচে শোয়া অবস্থায় উদ্ধার হয় দেহটি।
Conclusion:2017 সাল। এই কলেজ স্কোয়ার সুইমিংপুলেই সাঁতার কাটতে নেমে তলিয়ে যায় জাতীয় স্তরের এক সাঁতারু। তারও আগে শহরের বেশ কয়েকটি সুবিন পুলে সাঁতার শিখতে গিয়ে দুর্ঘটনা ঘটেছে। তখন নজরদারি নিয়ে উঠেছিল প্রশ্ন। তখন প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে সুইমিং পুল গুলির উপর লাগু করা হয়েছিল বেশ কিছু নিয়ম। কিন্তু সময়ের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সেই নিয়ম যে আর কেউ মানছে না তা আজকের ঘটনা থেকে স্পষ্ট। আদতে কলেজ স্কয়ার সুইমিংপুলে দুটি ভাগ রয়েছে। একটিতে রয়েছে কম জল, অন্যটিতে বেশি জল। সাঁতার না জানা শিক্ষার্থীদের কম জলের পুলে শেখানো হয়। শাহবাজ বেশি জলের পুলটিতে ডাইভ দেয়। প্রশ্ন উঠেছে, সেটা সে করল কিভাবে? তবে কি সাঁতার শেখানোর সময় কোন নজরদারী ছিল না? পুরো ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুলিশ। পাশাপাশি দুটি ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য পাঠানো হয়েছে মৃত্যুর সঠিক কারণ জানতে।
