Kolkata: Senior Trinamool Congress leader, Mukul Roy, who is officially still a BJP legislator, was admitted in the hospital on Thursday.
He reported physical uneasiness on Thursday morning, following which he was rushed to the state-run SSKM Hospital. A medical team of seven medical practitioners have been constituted for his treatment. He has been admitted to the Woodburn Ward.
Although there was no official briefing about his health condition, a source said that his potassium-sodium level was higher than normal. Apart from that, he is also suffering from diabetes.
Roy is a veteran politician who has been associated with West Bengal politics for a long time. His hospitalization has kept his followers tensed and they are praying for his early revival.
Trinamool Congress is yet to give any reaction on this development. It is not yet sure whether Trinamool leaders will go to the hospital to meet him or not.
