North Dinajpur (WB): A couple in love, hailing from West Bengal, met a tragic end. The woman, diagnosed with bone cancer breathed her last right after her fiance applied vermillion on her forehead in accordance with a Bengali wedding ritual.
A boy from North Dinajpur and his wife from Siliguri were in love for years. But fate had different plans, his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and she eventually succumbed to it.
Subrata and Bithi although married had very little time together. She was only able to hold on for two hours after the ritual.
Bithi was diagnosed with the disease long ago but Subrata did not leave her. He religiously stayed with her and supported her throughout.
Bithi's parents said although they lost a daughter, today they've earned a son.
