Nandigram: While the most high-profile electoral battle being fought in West Bengal's Nandigram, chief minister Mamata Banerjee questioned the timing of PM Modi's rally.
Addressing media at Nandigram, Banerjee alleged that PM Modi has violated the election code of conduct by addressing the public in Jaynagar.
Incensed Mamata Banerjee spoke to the media in Nandigram and alleged that the Election Commission was favouring BJP.
when asked if any FIR will be done on allegations of booth rigging at the Boyal polling booth where she visited, Mamata said, "We will check all footage of the polling booth and take appropriate steps."
"I am showing you 'V' for victory sign. I'm sorry Election Commission & Amit Shah, please control your goons who are heckling woman journalists in rallies. I can't reveal what I discussed with Observer and Gov, it's confidential. I haven't seen such a bad election," said Banerjee.
Amid violence during the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived at a polling booth in Nandigram, as she gears up to face her protege-turned-rival Suvendu Adhikari in a high-stakes battle.
Banerjee's arrival came amid allegations of booth capturing by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, Trinamool Congress (TMC) agents alleged that they are not being allowed to enter the polling booths in Nandigram.
Banerjee further informed that 63 complaints regarding booth capturing have been sent to the Election Commission (EC). She also personally held a discussion with State Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar over a call regarding the issue. As the situation turned chaotic outside the booth, the Chief Minister seemed visibly angry.
