Alipurduar(West Bengal): Former Cabinet Minister from West Bengal, James Kujur allegedly violated traffic rules by jumped over a median to join a campaign of "Save Green, Save Tree" which was organised at Alipurduar city in West Bengal on Thursday.

The district administration of Alipurduar, the district police of Alipurduar and the Forest department together organised a procession to spread awareness regarding the pollution-free city and the importance of tree plantation in which Kujur was invited.

"I supposed to join the procession on time but due to some reason, I reached there five minutes later. As the place was crowded and I was in a hurry, I jumped over the divider and joined the procession. It was my mistake and I apologize for that," he said.

However, the question has been raised, that being a former Cabinet Minister and a former police official how could he violate the traffic rule, while there are several campaigns that have been taken place of "Safe Drive, Save Life" across the state to make people aware about traffic rules.
