Tangra: Mild tensions prevailed as a loud noise was heard near Tangra police station in Kolkata on Thursday.
While the source for the deafening sound was not yet established, a pavement was damaged in the area.
The large cracks which had developed on the pavement further created chaos among people.
The fire brigade arrived at spot immediately after the incident and are working to ascertain the cause.
