Kolkata: A bust of Subhas Chandra Bose was found vandalised inside Netaji Bhawan of Uttarpara in West Bengal's Hooghly district leading to protests by the locals.

The incident reportedly took place on Saturday night. According to police, the statue will be repaired by August 15. A probe into the matter is underway.

Intro:নেতাজী মূর্তি ভাঙার অভিযোগ উত্তরপাড়ায়।উত্তরপাড়া থানার পাশে নেতাজী ভবনের সামনে জিটি রোডের পাশেই ছিল নেতাজীর আবক্ষ মূর্তি।গতকাল রাতে সেই মূ্তি ভাঙা হয়।খবর পেয়ে উত্তরপাড়া থানার পুলিশ নেতাজীর পাথরের মূর্তি থানায় নিয়ে গিয়ে রাখে।সকালে খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যান উত্তরপাড়া পুরসভার চেয়ারম্যান দিলীপ যাদব।তিনি বলেন,নেতাজীর মূর্তি ভাঙা কোনো সুস্থ লোকের কাজ নয়।পনেরই আগস্টের মধ্যে নেতাজীর মূ্র্তি ঠিক করে যথাস্থানে বসানো হবে।গতকাল রাতে হাজার হাজার জলযাত্রী জিটি রোড দিয়ে তারকেশ্বরে যাচ্ছিল।যেকারনে প্রচন্ড যানজট হয় জিটি রোডে।পুলিশের অনুমান সেই জলযাত্রীদের ভীরে ধাক্কা লেগে পরে গিয়ে মূর্তি ভাঙতে পারে।নেতাজীর মূর্তি যাতে কেউ না নিয়ে যেতে পারে তাই থানায় নিয়ে গিয়ে রাখে পুলিশ।ঘটনা খতিয়ে দেখছে উত্তরপাড়া থানা।।।Body:WB_HGL_NETAJI STATUE BROKEN_7203418Conclusion:
