BJP workers allegedly beaten up by TMC supporters

The BJP workers were on their way for a meeting with party leader Dilip Ghosh in Shimulia in Bhirbum district when they were allegedly attacked.

Birbhum (West Bengal): Trinamool Congress workers allegedly beat up BJP workers in Birbhum district while they were on their way to attend a meeting with BJP leader Dilip Ghosh in Shimulia. A BJP worker was also shot, reports say.

The BJP workers were allegedly obstructed from attending the meeting, according to reports.

Upon receiving the news police rushed to the spot but were prevented from entering the village. Later more policemen were deployed before the situation was brought under control.
