Kolkata: West Bengal unit of BJP has decided to conduct an individual constituency-wise survey in the state to identify the reasons behind the defeat in the recently concluded assembly polls and take curative measures accordingly.
This was decided at the crucial meeting of BJP's state committee in Kolkata, which was virtually attended by BJP's National President, JP Nadda. However, as expected the committee failed to come to a conclusion on whether Kailash Vijayvargiya would continue as the central observer for West Bengal or he would be replaced by anyone. Vijayvargiya himself skipped this crucial meeting which led to speculations early in the day about his possible removal.

BJP sources said that in the meeting Adhikari opined that merely passing the buck and putting the blame on each other will not bring any solution. He admitted that in BJP there is a scarcity of seasoned leaders as a result of which it was lagging behind Trinamool Congress. However, he said that there is an urgent need to overcome all such limitations.
