Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand): A man tried to commit suicide allegedly out of fear that he was infected with the dreaded Coronavirus in Uttarakhand.
Jeevan Singh (45), a resident at Berinag in Pithoragarh district of Uttrakhand, is posted in Berinag veterinary hospital and lives with his family near Gangolihat post office line.
He had been complaining of throat pain for the last three days, Jeevan's wife informed.
According to the family, after coming home on Tuesday evening, Jeevan locked himself inside the room and tried to commit suicide. Hearing the voice his family members rushed towards his room and took him to the hospital.
Currently, Jeevan has been admitted to Sushila Tiwari hospital in Haldwani, and his condition is said to be critical.
Blood samples have been sent for test, reports are yet to receive. After which it will be clear he is suffering from the COVID-19 disease or not, the doctor informed.
